Location and Site Selection
  • A chemical company was consolidating two plants but lacked warehouse capacity at the remaining facility. We provided the warehouse search with space and dock requirements.
  • A retailer was running out of distribution center space. We established the long-term needs for land and building space and developed criteria for site selection.
  • A steel fabricator planned to replace two aging facilities. We estimated requirements for land, building space, parking, and utilities. We also developed site selection criteria and reviewed three prospective properties.
  • A manufacturer of vending machines needed to relocate for lower costs. We developed site requirements and assisted in the search and evaluation of existing buildings. We later planned the relocation and arrangement of the new facility.
  • An importer of machinery from Europe needed a final assembly and distribution location to serve the United States.  We identified and evaluated potential sites from New Jersey to Texas.  Evaluation included labor, transportation, taxes and potential incentives.
  • A printing and publishing operation needed to relocate from its dated facility to a new plant in the suburbs – without losing their long-time employees.  We identified and evaluated potential sites to find the best.
  • A fabricator of railroad cars planned to acquire a former aluminum rolling mill 3,500 feet long. We conducted due diligence to confirm an effective layout and acceptable daily output.
